Mountain Brook provides assistance with your daily living needs in our Assisted Living area. This branch of our facility deals with residents who need a little more care. Our skilled staff is on duty to assist our residents whenever the need arises. Our goal is to focus on ways to maintain dignity and create a lifestyle that encourages involvement and participation in a group of one-on-one activity.

These services are offered in addition to the service offered in Independence Living:

We are very proud of our Special Care Buildings that house our Dementia and Alzheimer's residents. We have two buildings seperated by gender. The Arbor is for our female residents and The Lodge has been designed for our gentlemen. Both units feature private bedrooms and baths, a common dining area. TV room, and 24/7 daily care by a staff that has been trained in the care of dementia behavior. Both are secured buildings with fenced in areas for activities.

MountainBrook Village offers a service for our the families who are acting as a caregiver for a loved one suffering from dementia and illness and need a break from the everyday routine. We have availability in our Assisted Living and Dementia Units for overnight stays that can be extended on a nightly, weekly or monthly basis. This service includes a private room with bath, meals, assistance with medications and 24/7 trained staff care.

We also have Day Stay as an option for seniors who need a place to stay during the day while their families are at work or shopping. We will provide care for these individuals for duration of 10 hours. This will include a room, meals, and on duty caregivers and nurses. Medications can be given for an additional charge.

MountainBrook Village is now offering a new phase in our retirement community. The Arbor is assisted living provided in a secure environment. The Arbor is arranged to house nine residents in a community type setting, creating a family like atmosphere. The bedrooms are arranged in color-coded pods to help residents more easily find their own rooms. Each room has a unique border, further enabling them to find their own space with ease.

A common kitchen, living room and senior activity room provide group spaces for a variety of community activities from baking cookies, engaging in games, making craft projects, or working on group tasks known to help in retaining memory and cognitive functioning.

The Arbor is equipped with a state-of-the-art security system designed to enable residents to freely move around the inside and in the secured backyard. The outdoor area feature a raised garden enabling residents to easily plant flowers and vegetables. The screened in porch provides a peaceful environment to for lemonade and conversations.

The program for each resident is individualized to maximize each resident's independence and highest possible level of functioning. The Arbor provides a superior senior day care and senior services for persons with dementia who require a secure environment.

All caregivers need a break, whether it is a couple of days or a month.  Caring for your loved one day in and day out can wear you out, let MountainBrook Village become your extended family of caregivers. You can leave your loved one with us and know that they will be safe and well cared for my our trained staff.   Semi and Private rooms are available with three meals a day and snacks provided.  Our caregivers will assist with bathing and dressing and we have a full activity calendar to keep our residents active and interacting with each other.  Our nursing staff will administer any medications.

Adult Day Care is an option for those who are caring for an elderly loved one in their home. Our Trained Staff can serve as your extended family of caregivers for up to 10 hours per day, which will give you time to run errands, work or simply take a break.  Our program provides meals, a full activity calendar and the opportunity to interact with other residents. Medication administration can be included for a small extra fee.
